The accommodation charges mentioned are inclusive of all taxes. Accommodation in these facilities can be booked online through a portal managed by our agency M/s MCI GeTs Pvt Ltd. Please note that rooms are limited and will be allotted on a first come first served basis. One complimentary local site visit programme for registered accompanying person can also be booked by the members at this portal. Members can also give their flight details at this portal. About the Place: Located right in the vicinity of the conference venue, the guest house provides modern quality accommodation with soothing view of Powai lake and thick greenery. The rooms are air conditioned and have ensuite facilities. Coffee/tea making facility is available in the room. Room tariff is on bed and breakfast basis. Wi-Fi is complimentary

About the Place: MTNL guest house is a 12-storeyed building situated at the heart of Powai, an up-market business and residential hub of Mumbai. The rooms are air conditioned and have ensuite facilities. Room tariff is on bed and breakfast basis.

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled 20 days before the arrival time, the amount paid will be refunded after deducting INR1000 towards handling charges. One day tariff will be charged if cancelled less than 20 days before arrival

The Caliph Hotel, Powai

Student Hostel
About Hostel: Built to accommodate the students of IIT Bombay with common washroom/toilet facilities. This modern hostel is located at a walkable distance from the conference venue. Room tariff is on bed and breakfast basis.

Guidelines for using the online portal
- This portal can be used to book the Budget Accommodation and Accompanying Person Program. This portal conforms to the Indian data protection laws. Inventory of budget accommodation is limited and will be allotted on a first come first served basis.
- Portal is designed in the following manner:
- In Sign In segment you can create a new user account or sign in with an existing account if it has been created already. Please note that this account is different from the one that you have created in the WCTR website for registration purpose.
- In the basic information segment this portal collects contact details, address and flight details of the delegate.
- In the Accommodation segment, any of the accommodation options mentioned under “Budget Accommodation in and around IIT Bombay” in the accommodation page of the conference website can be booked. Please note that this accommodation cannot be booked for less than Two Nights. If you do not require accommodation, please tick the check box and move to the next segment.
- In the Accompanying Person Program segment, you can register for one complimentary local site visit for your registered accompanying person using this portal. The details of the local site visits are provided at the end of these guidelines.
- In the Summary segment the information that has been captured in all the previous segments will be displayed. It is possible to edit the information of any of the segments by clicking the respective Edit button. If the information and the amount displayed is correct, please press the next button to go to the payment page.
- In the Payment segment, choose online payment and click Proceed to Check Out button which takes you to the payment gateway interface. This interface allows payment by credit card, debit card, internet banking and wallets. Once the payment is successful, you will receive a confirmation email with payment receipt and invoice.
- The portal allows you to re-login and update your details (e.g. flight information or accompanying person program) at the later stage.
Options for Local Site Visit Programme for Accompanying Persons
Route 1: Dabbawala, Dhobhi Ghat and Dharavi Slum: Mumbai, the city of dreams, has plenty to offer its visitors: Be it the most glittering industry of the country, one of the largest slums or Dhobhi Ghats in the world; this city takes the pride in being the home to all! In addition to these this city has the unique ‘Dabbawala’ or the lunchbox carriers, who are the most amazing ones. These people, without fail, transport lunchboxes to every nook and corner of the city. Whether it’s raining, thundering or scorching sun, they accomplish their task without any mistake. In this Mumbai slum tour of Dhobi Ghat and Dabbawala, you will get to witness all these, interact with the people who connect Mumbai like no one else can.
Route 2: Gateway of India & Prince of Wales Museum with shopping: The Gateway of India is an arch monument built during the 20th century in Mumbai, India. The monument was erected to commemorate the landing of King George V and Queen Mary at Apollo Bunder on their visit to India in 1911. The Prince of Wales Museum is a splendid structure situated in Mumbai and is regarded as one of the heritage buildings of the city. The foundation stone of this edifice was laid down by the Prince of Wales on the 11 November 1905, and it was established as a museum on 10 January 1922.
Route 3: Kanheri Caves: The Kanheri Caves are a group of Buddhist caves and rock-cut monuments cut into a massive black basalt outcrop in the forests of the Sanjay Gandhi National Park in the western outskirts of Mumbai, India. If time permits, this tour will be combined with another nearby site.
Note: At present, the tax on hotel room with tariff of INR 2500-7500 is 18% and for the room with tariff above INR 7500 is 28% (06 September 2018).
